I wanna go home

I guess uni life was slightly harder than I expected it would be, especially the loneliness.
Most of the people in my class or that I know don't even live close to Leiden so I never get to go out with them or waste my Friday evenings with them.
There is a countdown in 8 days Ill spend a few days in Finland, I miss my family, my sister, jenkki purukumi, risifrutti and finnkino and hanko sushi and Pizzarium with their nutella pizzas. Oh and everyday i still listen to radio x3m at my breakfast since I just cant listen to dutch radio XD (its just depressive)

So lately I've been trying to make time go faster by trying different sports e.g. hiphop im still very much into, however i love Zumba now and maybe ill even get my lazy butt to the gym every now and then. Except Motivation oh motivation could use some of that...
Last Friday the faculty celebrated their 50 year anniversary  which meant that the faculty building turned into a party place with sticky beer floors I wonder how they managed to get the building into a normal uni again x)

Ohyeah and just for absolutely no reason i bought this short biker jacket with studs ^^. My new addiction I guess ill be wearing it a lot and grow old with it.

Now Im off to the uni to hand in some homework and a 4h lecture -.-

First day of Uni

Yesterday I had my first day of uni which surprisingly was a kick in the face. At first we were given a paper with deadlines including an exam on upcoming Friday.  And after that we were put to directly follow a 4h long lecture where the docent just threw statistical equations on a huge screen. :D That sure was an interesting introduction day. Im happy with the schedule as i only have 3h a lectures a day usually from 11-13 so the rest of the day is met for self studying, i could handle that :) So the 1st thing i did when i got home was to grab the book and started studying for the exam... :s 

I study at Leiden university, Psychology in dutch and we are all together 500 students and i think the plan is to end up with half of that before xmas as people realize it might not be the study for them. I want to become a neuropsychologist or a "legal psychologist" whatever you call it but im heading for the more biological part of this, I would never be able to handle depressive children.

Aanyway soon i gota head over to the uni so nice its a 10min biking distance so I get to sleep soo much longer :)

Recovering

Typically a few days after recovering from the El Cid week means a sudden flue or whatever you want to call it, where you feel more miserable than ever and manage to crawl to the train station to get to your aunt and uncle that can take care of you for a few days... :) And today I'm home again feeling re-powered but still quite like shit, But WHOCARES ima go say hi to my grandma and later today Im meeting up with a mysterious magician that i befriended during the introduction week.

Pounding Ears

Finally get to take a break from being surrounded by 3000 people all the time partying :D Last week i joined the introduction week EL CID in Leiden where you are placed in a group of 15 people and you follow a program during the day, visiting the uni, playing games and ofc the most legendary parties Leiden has ever seen in the evening... To be honest sorry Finland your parties suck... :D 

Except it was so crowded at the El Cid parties it got super hot and sweaty and hard to move and I ended up with bruises and hurting knees from dancing and yeah thanks to those who like to pour beer over people -.- But the music and the DJ's!! Freaking unbelievable my ears were pounding by the end of the evening but i've never experienced that good music in my whole life, it's addictive. ALONE

So my first post from living as a independent strong woman... I've been for a week in Holland preparing my apartment/room such as buying Ikea things etc.my room was a serious nasty mess when I took a look at it on Monday. But now it's all fixed and cozy ^^. So my family had been helping me for the past week and they went home back to Finland today. The first 20min alone were horrible feeling very lonely however after making tea in my microwave im all good (for today) :D. Havnt met my neighbours yet as they are waaay older than me but we'll see. Next week im having a crazy introduction week for 3000 students and i've allready figured out who i will be hanging around with the coming week :) it will be fun fun fun. Tomorrow ill just get back to cleaning my walls and biking around the city :) I live in Leiden now btw...

So it's two days until I will move to Holland and start my new life over there as a student knowing nobody kicked into the adult world. WHooooa Im not very prepared for this and got quite a lot to pack and it hasnt quite sinked in yet I will leave so soon. However today I'll be meeting one of my best friends, this whole week has mostly been running around meeting friends and packing, paper work and just staring at the wall trying to tell myself "it wont be so bad".
Im quite sure it will be bad for the first few weeks however I do belive it will turn out fine.

Yesterday I say goodbyes from my boyfriend with whom ive been 3 years in a relationship with and he is doing the military service for the coming 6 months. Damn it was hard but I had to seem strong since it would have been so much harder otherwise, he didn't have to know my world was literally falling apart on the inside. However we are heading to a long distance relationship hoping he will move to Holland next year were we could continue new adventures. You never know...
